Chanel tweed skirt suit from the Spring 2004 collection. This is a slightly paired down version from the version presented on the runway. Crafted from a lightweight pale pink, pale blue, black and beige tweed, this suit is perfect for the Spring and Summer. The jacket is collarless with no buttons down the front and trimmed in fringe. Horizontal slit pockets at the hips and french cuffs with two pearl and silver metal cuff links on each side. A layer of pink silk chiffon peeks out from under the cuffs giving the illusion of a pink silk chiffon blouse underneath. Classic, slightly a line highwaisted skirt with a zipper at centre back seam and fringe trim along the hemline. 1960s style muff pocket at front of skirt. Small mother of pearl interlocking CC logo at left hip when wearing. Lined in a very light grey silk with Camellia flowers throughout. Excellent vintage condition. Made in France. Marked FR size 40.
